Church Life

Discover our Services and what St Mark’s is all about.

Our Church Services

Our worship community is housed in a truly beautiful 140-year-old church building. We are a congregation with an  evangelical history and use the Common Worship format to give structure to our services.

Services

Informal Worship

Once a month (usually on the fourth Sunday) we have a more relaxed and informal service. This is a service for all age groups and is welcoming to those who might be new to church and who may prefer a more informal style of worship. Its followed by a complimentary light lunch with time to chat.

We celebrate communion once or twice a month.

Our other services use the Common Worship format and are services of the word.

Midweek Events

St Mark’s is committed to connecting with the wider community in St Helens through a variety of regular outreach activities that take place throughout the week at our Gamble Hall.

Tots & Toddlers

St Mark’s supports local families with a very successful Tots and Toddlers group that runs every Friday morning at the Gamble Hall.

S.M.A.S.H

The SMASH (St Mark’s Activities and Social Hub) provides a weekly opportunity on Thursdays for people of varying ages to connect, offering lunch, arts and crafts and board games.

Regular Events

Throughout the year, we host a number of popular social events like garden parties, fairs and car boot sales, demonstrating the strong community spirit.
